Description
Anti-fog cloth for glasses that fog up in winter
The GoGoNano Anti-Fog cloth is a microfiber cloth with an anti-fog treatment. Wiping the lenses with it cleans them and keeps them clear for up to 10 hours, without a spray bottle in your pocket. Glasses fog up when warm, moist air meets a cold lens. This can happen when you come indoors in winter, lean over a hot pan or breathe out under a face mask or scarf.
How to use the anti-fog cloth
- Clean your glasses and let them dry.
- Wipe both lenses gently with the Anti-Fog cloth, pressing slightly.
- Breathe on the lenses to check that they no longer fog.
- Repeat whenever the effect starts to weaken.
The cloth works on glasses, sunglasses, safety glasses, ski and diving goggles, camera lenses, helmet visors and binoculars. It does not harm anti-reflective or other lens coatings. Our article on how to prevent glasses from fogging up explains why it happens and what else helps.
Keep the cloth working
- Never put the cloth in water or wash it.
- Keep it in its case at room temperature, away from moisture and light, not loose in a pocket.
- Do not use it on contact lenses.
- Wash your hands after use. If your skin reacts, see a doctor.
Replace the cloth when wiping no longer keeps the lenses clear, or when it gets dirty. For everyday cleaning of smudges, use a washable microfiber glasses cleaning cloth and reserve the Anti-Fog cloth for preventing fogging.
FAQ
Why do my glasses still fog up after wiping?
The lenses may still be dirty or damp, or the anti-fog treatment may have weakened. Clean the lenses first and let them dry, then wipe both sides gently with Anti-Fog. Breathe on the lenses to check the result and repeat if needed. Reapply when the effect weakens; up to 10 hours is a maximum, not a fixed interval.
Can I wash Anti-Fog like an ordinary glasses cloth?
No. Wetting or washing removes its anti-fog effect. Use a separate washable cloth for everyday dirt and keep Anti-Fog dry in its case.
Can I use it on anti-reflective lenses?
Yes. Anti-Fog does not harm anti-reflective or other lens coatings. Remove grit before wiping and use gentle pressure. It is not for contact lenses.
How do I know when the cloth needs replacing?
Replace it when it is dirty or no longer keeps clean lenses clear after application. The stated over 200 uses does not mean you should keep using a dirty cloth.
